About Us
The Village Alliance of the Southern Tier (VAST) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to creating affordable and accessible events for adults in the Greater Binghamton area. We focus on building a strong sense of community through affordable social gatherings, workshops, and volunteer opportunities.
Founded in February 2025, VAST was created to address the lack of community-driven activities particularly for young adults in the region. Inspired by university student-led organizations, we aim to provide structured yet flexible opportunities for people to meet, learn, and contribute to their community.
Our Mission
VAST strives to connect adults of all ages with meaningful experiences that promote personal growth, leadership, and community engagement. Our goal is to make local events and activities more inclusive, fun, and financially accessible.
